Personal stories can be poignant, funny, exciting, moving, and more. Through these stories both teller and listener recognise their shared humanity because well-told personal stories create connections and community.

Want to sharpen your personal storytelling abilities?

Join us and spend a lovely morning with Laura Packer. Using prompts, breakout sessions, and creative exercises, this workshop will help you discover, craft, and share meaningful personal stories.

By the end of the workshop you will have

  • A personal story ready to share.
  • Toolkit and templates to craft more personal stories in the future.

Date: 18th September 2021 (Saturday)

Time:  10:00 hours to 13:00 hours (Singapore Time)

(The 1st two hours will be the workshop with an additional hour story sharing session and coaching by Laura.)

Venue: Virtual via Zoom

Ticket Price: $25 for members, 
                        $45 for non-members
(Discount of $20 if a guest signs up together)

Do you have personal story that you are working on and want to get coached?

In this workshop, a few participants will get a chance to get "coached" by her on a story that he/she is already working on /worked on in a safe space. This is very unique feature of the workshop providing for other participants to observe and learn "How to coach?" other /co-storytellers.


About Laura Packer

Laura knows the best way to the truth is through a good story. With over 25 years of storytelling experience and a degree in folklore and mythology, she has told, taught, ranted, raved, consulted and considered storytelling around the world. When she isn’t telling, she teaches, gives keynotes, runs venues, coaches, writes, and helps people and organisations use their voices to make the world a better place. She has won many awards including induction into the National Storytelling Network’s Circle of Excellence; Minnesota Grand Slam Champion; Best in Fringe Kansas City (and others); and her books From Audience to Zeal: The ABCs of Finding, Crafting, and Telling a Great Story and the accompanying workbook were honoured by Storytelling World.
